Glenda Jackson: la actriz sobrevalorada
Yes, it has a significant presence. And a single voice. His eyes are intense. Is clearly a character actress.
And in general, their roles have been imbued with these doses of tenacity, strong woman, with personality.
But when I speak of "overrated", I mean the excessive appreciation that has taken this as a British actress prizes.

On the one hand, Women in Love, directed by formidably Ken Russell (Tommy ), a film definitely "advanced" for the time. However, the leading quartet, hardly excel Jackson, and is certainly overshadowed by a very young and few times more light, actress Jennie Linden . Pero aún considero menos justificado su lauro a mejor Actriz por un rol mediocre en una comedia idem, que en su momento hizo mucho ruido, y que al verla hoy (sí, tal vez el paso de las décadas no ayuda) genera un mal sabor al espectador. Me refiero a Un toque de distinción , dirigida por Melvin Frank and co-starring George Segal unbearable . Here
Jackson leveled his partner in a "duel" typical war of opposite sexes and faced quite poor, attending to cries and grimaces that are worthwhile.
For these injustices of the awards, once again, racing for example Glenda by Ellen Burstyn The Exorcist , Joanne Woodward for Summer Wishes, Winter Dreams and Barbra Streisand by Way We Were .

In Argentina we knew as The Edge of the vacuum . In Spain, renamed Somewhere anywhere. Its original title Running on empty is , and is without doubt the film of the week on my blog.
the prolific Sidney Lumet , with a great script Naomi Forner, and starring River Phoenix, Judd Hirsch (impeccable both) and Christina Lahti (bright and noticeable). Lumet
prioritizes the beautiful and original story, not show off visually, as in many other of his works. However, and without being a huge budget film or anything, the film captures the hearts of the audience in a compelling story and strong, which speaks of ideals, dreams, talents and love found.
Nominated for Oscar for Best Supporting Actor (River Phoenix, but is leading) and best original screenplay (losing to the lower frame of Rain Man).
should have been nominated, no doubt, Christina Lahti, too.
See it.
