Best Time To Call For A Job

The King of Comedy on Funny People, Judd Appatow

recommendation of a friend, last night I saw Funny people, the new film from Judd Appatow , which according to me said was a failure of the public in the U.S. and here in Argentina, then, can not get otherwise than directly to DVD, bypassing cinemas.
Above all, taking into account that it is a bittersweet comedy, very particular and original Appatow coming from, and with a duration of two hours!
With a single viewing, the thing is clear: until the hour and a half, the film seemed round. Entertaining, acid fast gags intelligent, well acted, with a successful chemistry between Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler, and with a touch of melancholy, another feature of the scripts for the factory Appatow.
The problem is that the story, which could be a current version and less dramatic Lenny, Bob Fosse's , becomes very dense after solving a serious problem Sandler's character, and begins to have a second chance with an old flame .
From then on, despite the valuable contributions of Eric Bana in a very successful short side, and the warmth of Leslie Mann, the script loses the rhythm that had been accumulating, leading the duo's actions fell enough, and the conflict itself the film dissolves completely.
But as usual, expresses the natural Appatow and talent of this trio of friends who make Rogen and side effects of Jonah Hill (despite being included in each film) and Jason Schwartzman , plus some gems of brief cameos by actors such as Ray Romano and Sarah Silverman .
If it's worth, is the great monologues at the microphone, for certain findings made by the protagonists, general chemistry of the entire cast (which could quietly aspire to a place among the nominees for best cast in the SAG Awards , like Adventureland boys ), and transmitting that desire Appatow to give his mind, thinking and actions in this life through the frustrations of humor and loves lost and found.
